Renewable energy company harvests new partnership

A Barry-based renewable energy company has formed a strategic partnership with a Gloucester-based rainwater harvesting company as it continues to roll out its services across the UK.

The collaboration between Natural Power Wales, part of the COS Group and Rainharvesting Systems Ltd will strengthen both businesses offering when contracted on the installation and maintenance of rainwater harvesting equipment, allowing the two providers of renewable energy to offer a more integrated service.

Natural Power Wales will become the only supplier in south Wales to stock a range of rainwater harvesting supplies including commercial systems, specifically designed to meet the demands of businesses. With a proven track record in the rainwater harvesting industry, Rainharvesting Systems has been developing water re-use technologies for over a decade.

On the strategic partnership, Lloyd Reed, technical director at Natural Power Wales said: “Rainwater harvesting is a relatively new form of sustainable building technology in the UK and is a cost effective solution for companies looking to reduce their water consumption. Rainwater harvesting works through using a filter filtration system to collect rainwater. A filter is fitted to either a downpipe or underground drainage pipe from which clean water is collected.  The water is stored in a tank and is pumped on demand, being utilised for key water supplies including toilet systems, process water etc.

“Having worked closely on several projects with Rainharvesting Systems in recent months, we have been very impressed with not only the high quality products they have to offer but also their professionalism and commitment. We have decided to cement our working relationship with a strategic partnership which will undoubtedly benefit all parties involved.”

Rainharvesting Systems' managing director, Derek Hunt, commented: “Partnering up with Natural Power Wales will mean that we can offer clients a complete service from the installation of the equipment to ongoing maintenance and service. It provides a logical and cost effective opportunity for businesses looking invest in renewable forms of energy. We are very much looking forward to working more closely with Natural Power Wales”

Established in 2007 Natural Power Wales was set up to help businesses meet their requirements in tackling the issue of going green by designing and installing renewable energy solutions.
