Here we briefly discuss the Severn Trent STEPS Grant scheme, a fantastic opportunity that aligns with our shared commitment to sustainable farming practices. As you are likely aware, STEPS is an integral part of the ST Farming for Water catchment management programme, offering grants to support environmentally conscious farming.

Our company is poised to provide expert advice, competitive quotes, and all the necessary supplies to help you harness the benefits of rainwater harvesting— a key aspect of the STEPS initiative. With over three decades of experience in rainwater collection, we have cultivated a wealth of knowledge, an extensive product range, and the support services required to bring your project to fruition.

Investing in a rain harvesting system is not only environmentally beneficial but also cost-effective. Our clients are frequently surprised by the affordability of these systems and their ease of installation. We are committed to guiding you through every step of the process, from initial planning to the final implementation of your rain harvesting solution.

From the ST website:

Welcome to STEPS 2024

This year, our tenth anniversary of STEPS, we will continue to offer grants within our priority catchments. Where we can, we have also endeavoured to competitively match our prices to other schemes.

We have maintained our packages of priority items, including up to £30,000 for pesticide washdown areas and free rainwater harvesting, soil testing for cover crop applicants in groundwater catchments and up to 100% funding for fencing in our crypto catchments.

We've also increased our grant rates for many of our items.

There are still a great range of options to choose from, all aimed at protecting the environment and water quality.

Within your catchment you will still find specific priority items - items that once implemented will make a fundamental difference to the health of the surrounding water environment.

Take a look at the handbook guide here:

And applications can be submitted via the STEPS Flexigrant page:

There are three main types of rainwater harvesting system: direct pumped, indirect pumped, and indirect gravity. In certain situations it may be possible to have a purely gravity system; though such occasions are rare.
