Simple agricultural system for remote building.
The brief for this was to add a water supply for a remote agricultural building on a local estate.
Part of the Longdole Polo club, this building had power but no water supply. As a relatively new build, installation was simple and completed by a local business, Drain Doctor, Bristol and Gloucester. Instructions were given on layout and setup. A plan was given for the tank slab for the external Enduramax 7000l tank to sit on. The down pipes from either side of the building were linked and fed the wall mounted vortex filter. This filters the rainwater from any debris washed from the roof, and on average, filters 90% of all water efficiently. The remaining 10% is used to wash away the debris, and in this case, taken off to soak away.
The cleaned, filtered water then enters the tank through a calming inlet, thus avoiding any silt disturbance in the base of the tank. Within the tank, a submersible Beta1000 pump was fitted, with built in dry run and pressure controller. This detects when there is demand and automatically turns on to provide pressurised water to the building via, in this case, 25mm MDPE rainwater pipe. This system is the epitome of a simple, quality rain harvesting system which can easily be installed to both new and existing buildings. Rainwater system 7,000l freestanding rainwater storage tank.
